World Culinary Olympic Champion Chef
József Révész was the Chef of the Parliament from 1990 for 13 years. During these years he prepared the masterworks of the state protocol events. All gala courses were prepared under his lead for all imperials, heads of states and prime ministers visiting Hungary, serving Queen Elizabeth II., Dutch Queen Beatrix and Danish Queen Margaret II, Spanish King Juan Carlos and Malaysian King Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin. He was awarded the honourable title of „Chef of the Kings” after over 100 occasions of preparing and serving the president and other ministerial receptions and gala dinners.
With his outstanding professional performance József Révész received a bronze medal at the World Culinary Olympics in 2000, and a silver medal at the Luxembourg Chef World Championship in 2002. For his several decades work, his awards received at national and international competitions, and for his efforts regarding the promotion of the Hungarian traditions and for his contribution to the boost of the Hungarian gastronomy’s acknowledgment he was awarded the highest rank József Venesz Prize by the Hungarian National Gastronomic Association.
